How To Make Extra Money In One Day

Do you ever have that one item you'd like to buy but you're strapped on cash? Maybe you've just lost your job, or you would like to save extra money.

The world is a crazy place right now. A lot of families are just squeaking by with the pandemic that's hit the world. I know that I have to be a lot more frugal than I once was. It's starting to become scary with the price of gas increasing, groceries going through the roof, and all the price hikes from supply shortages.

With all of these looming things happening around us, there's always ways to make that extra dollar. Here are some helpful tips to making a quick buck.

1. Drive with Uber or Lyft

If you have a decent care and enjoy being on the road, this is a great option to making some extra money. Some even do this a full-time job and really enjoy it. The nice part about cruising around, is the people you connect with. Everyone has their own knowledge and experience. Have conversations and find out how other people are making some extra money. Keep in mind that some riders just want to stay silent.

The nice part about these services is that you can do this on your own time. Make a few trips during lunch, or once your done with your 9-5 job.

2. Plasma Donation

Plasma donation is an easy method to earn some additional cash while also helping others in need. You will have to go through a standard health screening to make sure your plasma can be used.

While you're making money donating, you can be helping out others who really need it. Personally, I'm deathly afraid of needles so this one isn't for me. With that said, I used to have friends in college donate plasma and have money for the weekend. Some places give extra bonuses to bring in friends and for first time donations. If you donate regularly, you can earn a few hundred dollars a month.

3. Sell Your Clothes and Household Items

Let's be honest, you have items that are laying around and you haven't used in years. There are local stores that will pay you to take old clothes off your hands. This is also a good feeling because you now have some extra room in your house!

You can also go on sites likes Facebook Marketplace and sell some furniture that you don't like or use. If you're handy, go to Goodwill and buy some furniture that you can freshen up. A little pain goes a long way! Post it on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist and start making some extra cash.

4. Surveys, Surveys, Surveys

There are sites like SurveyJunkie and Swagbucks that will pay you to take surveys for them. They want your opinions on sites or new products. Now this isn't a way to become a millionaire, you can earn a little spending money.

To go along with surveys, there's also sites that will pay you to watch advertisements or short films.

5. Freelance Work

Do you have a particular skill that you could offer someone? There's a huge need for graphic designers, web designers, translators, etc. In your free time, you could sit there enjoying your hobby.

Upwork is a great site to sell your niche. Once you have more jobs under your belt with good reviews, the work will start to increase. You have the ability to only work on what you'd like. Take some time and think about services you could offer someone that you enjoy.

6. Dog Walker

I am a huge dog person, so this one wouldn't sound like much work. There's a lot of people that just don't have time to get their pup exercise.

The dollar amount that you make will vary depending on experience and location. If you love dogs, this is a great opportunity for you. It doesn't hurt that it will get you a little exercise as well.

7. Tutor

Are you a math prodigy or know multiple languages. Take those skills and help out others trying to learn. You can start on sites like Upwork, or go to the local library or schools to see if there's anyway to help.

There are also online communities like Tutor or Smarthinking that allow you to discover tutoring jobs in your region, but they require you to go through an application procedure and a background check before you can get a job.

8. Airbnb/ VRBO

This is a great way to make money. You can earn a great income if you have the right support around you. If you're house is nice and in a prime location, the interest will be huge.

Talk to family and friends to see if you can crash at their place for a few nights. You will need to do your research on local laws and regulations. With a little time and effort, you can be renting out your space in no time.

9. Sell Photography

There's always a need for people to use others photographs. Phones these days are capable of taking high quality pictures. Believe it or not, there's a high demand for these photographs.

There's sites that make it easy for you. Sites like Shutterstock, Alamy, Etsy, etc.

If you need extra money, there's always a way! Be creative and motivated, and maybe this will become a full-time gig. Dive into what you enjoy and sell that passion to others.
